How to create one video and turn it into seven pieces
If you're like me, you probably want to publish your content to as many places as possible. You might also be someone who doesn't really have time to create content for each social media account separately. That's why I developed the strategy of creating one piece of content and then sharing that content across multiple social media accounts. I'll walk you through how to set up this system below!
#1 This strategy aims to create one piece of content and then share it across multiple social media accounts.
This strategy is designed to help you create one piece of content, and then share that content across multiple social media accounts.
#2 What's your core piece of content?
In order to create multiple pieces of content, you need to decide on your core piece. Your core piece is your main piece of content that serves as the primary source, out of which one you would then create bite-size pieces.
Your core piece could be a long-form video such as a YouTube or blog post. You need to have a longer form piece of content to be able to turn it into content for other social media platforms.
The more content you push out, the better your chances of building a following online.
Twitter:
Turn your video or blog post into quotes for Twitter. For an eye-catching quote, utilize key statements.
Reels:
Use your long-form video and edit it into 15 to 20-second long short-form videos. Those videos should have context and value without ever having to watch the full-length video.
Youtube:
If you use a blog post as a core piece, you can record yourself for a video. While this is more time-consuming than starting with a video as a core piece, it will ensure that you don't forget anything while recording yourself. Your blog post can be utilized as a guideline and structure.
Blog:
If you decide to film a video, you can transcribe it into a blog post and publish it on your website. If you want to know how to structure a blog post, check out my online course.
Podcast:
If your core piece is a video, you can extract the audio from your video and create a podcast. Video editing software makes it easy to save only audio.
Infographic:
Turn your video or blog post into an infographic. Infographics can be published on Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Pinterest, and your blog. Infographics are great for Pinterest.
Email Newsletter:
Use snippets from your video or blog post to create content for your email newsletter. Don't use the entire content from your core piece, use enough information to drive an email subscriber to your core piece.
#3 Include a link to show users where they can find the original content.
Include a link that links back to the original content. This way, you drive traffic to your core piece and build more credibility.
#4 Save Time
This strategy is helpful because it saves time and effort while still being able to reach many users with your content. It's a win-win for you and your followers, who get fresh content to engage with on multiple social media accounts.
Conclusion
Creating one core piece to reach more people with your message and save time by not having to create new content every time you want to share something new.
